While the player order never changes, it is an important part of timekeeping. Often in final rounds on BGA I can’t remember who is ending the game, and in the midgame I don’t know who is getting the first crack at the age II tiles. While I know from long experience with the game that in a four player game, player four gets the first crack at the age II tiles at the end of round 8, this isn’t useful information if I can’t look at the header and see at a glance who player four is.
If the log went all the way back to the beginning, it wouldn’t be an issue. My recommendation is simply to mark the player order in the header at the top. If all the players in a four player game are numbered 1, 2, 3, and 4 for the whole game, then at a glance I can tell who is ending the game and who gets first (and last) look at the age II tiles. The only other solution is to put that information in the chat every time, something like “X went first, and Y ends the game and gets first chance at the age II tiles.” -
