Would say #3 (get two goods of different types) and #4 can be safely automated - but not #1.
The specific interaction for #1 is that, let's say a player have a full den and in order to make room, they would have to either sell the Pig or convert it before allowing the pig to be taken. i wanted to keep it consistent. thought it would be easier to understand and cleaner to code as well.
